Mohawk Valley Health System names new COO

Utica, N.Y.-based Mohawk Valley Health System has named Mansoor Shahid senior vice president and COO, Observer-Dispatch reports.

Mr.  Shahid previously was COO of SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, Mo.

He has a master’s degree in health administration from University of Memphis and a bachelor’s degree in international studies from Hanover (Ind.) College. He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives as well as a Healthcare Financial Management Association member.
