St. Cloud, Minn.-based CentraCare said it has restructured its leadership team to strengthen integration and build a more resilient health system, effective July 20.
The changes aim to enhance collaboration, streamline decision-making and eliminate duplication, according to a July 18 news release shared with Becker’s.
As part of the restructuring, Zach Bork has been named CentraCare’s inaugural chief strategy and transformation officer, overseeing several departments. He previously served as vice president of enterprise analytics and transformation.
The system has also combined some Minnesota markets, with current leaders assuming expanded roles:
- Craig Henneman, president of Willmar and Benson regions
- Adam Paulson, president of Long Prairie and Sauk Centre regions
- Jennifer Tschida, president of Melrose and Paynesville regions
The system phased out one physician vice president position and reduced its vice president of operations from four to three, with leaders taking on expanded roles:
- Matt Kunkel, vice president of operations
- Ryan Engdahl, vice president of operations
- Bryan Lydick, vice president of operations
Each operations leader will be paired with a physician leader also stepping into expanded roles:
- Chris Boelter, MD, physician vice president
- Maria Mallory, MD, physician vice president
- Ulrika Wigert, MD, physician vice president
“These changes are not about titles or reporting lines. They’re about building the structure we need to thrive in the future,” CentraCare President and CEO Ken Holmen, MD, said in the release. “We’re confident this new model strengthens integration across CentraCare, enabling us to work more effectively and better serve our communities.”
