Mib Scoggins tapped to lead McLeod Health Cheraw: 6 things to know

Veteran healthcare leader and hospital human resources manager Meriba "Mib" Scoggins has been named administrator of McLeod Health Cheraw (S.C.), according to a Cheraw Chronicle report.

Here are six things to know about Ms. Scoggins, according to the report.

1. Ms. Scoggins recently was the project lead coordinator for the transition of Chesterfield General Hospital in Cheraw to Florence, S.C.-based McLeod Health. McLeod Health took over operations at the former Chesterfield General Hospital after Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems divested the facility.

2. Prior to her project lead coordinator role, Ms. Scoggins was the patient experience manager for McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.

3. Ms. Scoggins previously was director of organizational learning for McLeod Health from 1998 to 2012. She returned to McLeod Health in 2014 after two years as the general manager for human resources with the Georgiou Group in Perth, Western Australia.

4. Ms. Scoggins received a bachelor's degree in English and history with honors from Randolph-Macon Women's College in Lynchburg, Va.

5. She received the certified training professional designation from the American Society of Training and Development and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.

6. Ms. Scoggins also completed the Harvard Business School's Authentic Leadership Development course. In addition, she is a member of the Beryl Institute, The Patient Experience and Friends of Harvard Business School Executive Education.
