Beth Llewellyn takes over as leader of Health Care Access: 3 things to know

Beth Llewellyn has taken over as the first CEO of Lawrence, Kan.-based Health Care Access, a clinic that provides access and healthcare services for Douglas County residents with limited financial means who are not covered by private or governmental insurance programs, according to a Lawrence Journal-World report.

Here are three things to know about Ms. Llewellyn.

1. Ms. Llewellyn began her position in July.

2. As CEO, she said she’s looking to strengthen some of HCA’s current programs, such as its in-house wellness program created four years ago in partnership with the Topeka, Kan.-based Washburn University Department of Kinesiology.

3. She has more than 25 years of healthcare administration experience, most recently from Alegent Creighton Health in Omaha, Neb.
