Somerville, Mass.-based Mass General Brigham has appointed Kim DeRoche, MD, as its first systemwide chief of primary care, effective Feb. 2, 2026, according to a system news release shared with Becker’s.
In her new role, Dr. DeRoche will oversee delivery across the system’s academic medical centers, health centers and the MGB Medical Group. She will also work with leaders from the Community Physician Group, according to an internal announcement.
Dr. DeRoche most recently held senior physician leadership roles at Minneapolis-based Fairview Health Services, a nonprofit health system that serves 2.1 million patients across 10 hospitals and 60 clinics. Her positions included president and chief of primary care, vice president of medical practice, and associate chief medical officer.
In addition to her new leadership role, Dr. DeRoche will continue practicing as a primary care physician at Mass General Brigham.
