Madison Parish Hospital CFO Barbara Tabor Fired

Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah, La., has dismissed its CFO Barbara Tabor, according to a report by The News Star.

Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell told The News Star that an investigation against Ms. Tabor, which is ongoing, revealed that she has filed for bankruptcy three times and lived in 47 different locations in 12 states over the past 25 years. The investigation also revealed that she had overstated liabilities and understated revenues of the hospital, according to the report.

Earlier this year, Ms. Tabor made allegations of improprieties against Madison Parish CEO Scott Barrilleaux. The alleged improprieties included excessive payment of contractual agreements and instructing hospital employees to perform personal tasks, according to a report by The News Star on June 26. Mr. Barrilleaux was place on administrative leave for more than a month while the allegations were investigated, but he has since been reinstated.
