Madison Parish Hospital Reinstates CEO Scott Barrilleaux

Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah, La., announced that its board has voted to reinstate CEO Scott Barrilleaux after having placed him on administrative leave for more than a month, according to a report by The News Star.

Mr. Barrilleaux was placed on leave after allegations of improprieties were made against him by the hospital’s CFO Barbara Tabor. The alleged improprieties included excessive payment of contractual agreements, instructing hospital employees to perform personal tasks and undocumented absenteeism by Mr. Barrilleaux during work hours, according to a report by The News Star on June 26.

The hospital board investigated the matter and decided to reinstate Mr. Barrilleaux. He will resume his duties as CEO July 16, according to the report.
