In his new role, Mr. Giovanetti will oversee the operations of 17 hospitals in Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia and Michigan, including hospitals owned by Duke LifePoint Healthcare. Duke LifePoint is a joint venture of Durham, N.C.-based Duke University Health System and LifePoint Hospitals.
Most recently, Mr. Giovanetti served as president of Roanoke, Va.-based LewisGale Regional Health System. Earlier in his career, Mr. Giovanetti served in management roles with HCA, Symbion and other healthcare organizations in Georgia.
