Tracy Abney is LifePoint’s new vice president, clinical informatics officer. He will oversee the development of the organization’s comprehensive clinical informatics program. Mr. Abney previously served as the company’s senior director, acute clinical systems and director, evidence-based medicine. He has worked at LifePoint since 2012.
LifePoint Health named Barbara Olson vice president, clinical improvement and healthcare safety. Ms. Olson most recently served as senior patient safety officer for the organization. In her new role, she will oversee the LifePoint Patient Safety Organization as well as lead LifePoint’s culture of safety and engagement survey process.
Mark Pickett is the organization’s new vice president, physician services of the Eastern Group. He was previously senior director, physician practice operations at Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare. In his new role, he will oversee physician service operations for LifePoint facilities in Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Virginia.
