Hartford HealthCare names new Eastern Region VP of patient services

Hartford (Conn.) HealthCare selected Laura Currie to serve as vice president of patient services for its Eastern Region, according to a report by The Day.

Ms. Currie will oversee patient care at Backus Hospital in Norwich, Conn., and Windham Hospital in Willimantic, Conn.

Ms. Currie most recently served as director of cardiovascular services at Springfield, Mass.-based Baystate Health. She worked at Baystate for 27 years, initially providing care as a cardiovascular care and surgery nurse.

Ms. Currie began her healthcare career as a nurse at Hartford (Conn.) Hospital, according to the report.
