Jason Frischer, MD, has been named surgeon-in-chief and chief of pediatric surgery at Le Bonheur Children’s and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, both based in Memphis.
Dr. Frischer has spent decades leading advancements in complex pediatric surgeries and overseeing the development of multidisciplinary programs at Cincinnati Children’s, according to an Oct. 9 news release. He served as director of the hospital’s colorectal center for more than a decade and later became the associate director of the division of pediatric general and thoracic surgery.
Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital is a 290-bed hospital and offers care in dozens of pediatric subspecialties. It is the primary teaching hospital for the UTHSC, training more than 350 physicians each year.
