David Fuqua, BSN, will retire as CEO of Marshall County Hospital in Benton, Ky., on March 31, after more than 12 years in the role and 17 total years with the organization.
Mr. Fuqua has more than 30 years of hospital leadership experience, including prior CEO roles at other healthcare organizations, according to an Oct. 17 Facebook post from the hospital.
During his tenure, he led initiatives that expanded access to care and strengthened hospital operations, including a Mercy Health MRI joint venture, development of a rural health clinic and 340B program, physician recruitment efforts, construction of a new medical office building and the launch of an urgent care clinic in Draffenville, Ky.
