Ms. Schelling replaces Rob Cooper, who recently retired after serving as CEO of the hospital for 19 years.
Ms. Schelling has been with the hospital for 34 years, beginning as a nurse in the intensive care unit.
The hospital board is currently conducting a search for a permanent replacement and a decision is expected by March, according to the report.
