Here are four points:
1. Ms. Mitzner comes to Hoag Orthopedic Institute from St. Joseph Hoag Health in Irvine, where she most recently served as the senior vice president and CFO.
2. Her previous experience includes serving as senior vice president of corporate services and CFO at Newport Beach, Calif.-based Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian as well as working within KPMG’s healthcare advisory practice.
3. She has served on Hoag Orthopedic Institute’s board of directors, and she holds a master of public administration degree from the University of San Francisco.
4. Ms. Mitzner will take over from Carlos Prietto, MD, a founding partner and practicing orthopedic surgeon, who has been serving as the institute’s interim CEO.
