1. Ms. Smith most recently served as chief of staff and senior counsel to the CEO for Children's Hospital of Orange (Calif.) County.
2. She founded HOPE Through Affordable Legal Services, a business that aims to increase access to legal services for low-income individuals.
3. In her new role, Ms. Smith will advise, advocate for and represent the health system in legal matters and oversee contract and risk management.
