Fishermen’s Community Hospital names David Faulkner interim CEO: 4 takeaways

Fishermen’s Community Hospital in Marathon, Fla., selected David Faulkner to serve as interim CEO, according to an FL Keys News report.

1. Mr. Faulkner most recently served as CEO of Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg, Ky.

2. He replaces Hal Leftwich, who resigned following a five-year tenure.

3. Both Mr. Faulkner and Mr. Leftwich are employees of Brentwood, Tenn.-based Quorum Health Resources, which manages Fishermen’s Community Hospital.

4. The hospital is in talks to partner with Miami-based Baptist Health South Florida. If the partnership goes through, Quorum would no longer manage the hospital and Baptist would bring in a new executive team.
