Dr. Device, an emergency medicine physician by training, has been affiliated with Evangelical since 1987. He has previously served as director of the hospital’s intensive care unit. In 2015, Dr. Devine served as director of the emergency department with TeamHealth at Jersey Shore (Pa.) Hospital, while still maintaining his position at Evangelical.
Dr. Device earned his osteopathic medicine degree at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Services in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed an internal medicine residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa. Currently, he serves as an assistant clinical professor of medicine at The Commonwealth Medical College, based in Scranton, Pa.
