Elliot Health System CEO to leave post this summer: 3 things to know

Jim Woodward, president and CEO of Manchester, N.H.-based Elliot Health System, is leaving his post in mid-July, according to a New Hampshire Union Leader report.

Here are three things to know about Mr. Woodward.

1. He is taking a job as CEO of a Pennsylvania hospital closer to family, the health system said in a statement.

2. According to the report, EHS did not indicate if Mr. Woodward's departure was tied to whether the system's hospital should remain independent. The system is currently exploring potential partnerships.

3. In addition to announcing Mr. Woodward's impending departure, EHS also announced CMO Greg Baxter, MD, will oversee hospital clinical operations, while General Counsel John Friberg will be responsible for corporate oversight, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported. Both roles begin July 15.
