Einstein Healthcare Network drops ‘interim’ from CFO Gerard Blaney’s title

Philadelphia-based Einstein Healthcare Network tapped Gerard F. Blaney to serve as its permanent CFO.

Mr. Blaney most recently served as vice president of finance and interim CFO. He worked at Einstein Healthcare Network for 34 years, serving in roles of increasing responsibility within the finance department.

Mr. Blaney is a member of the Finance Committee for Health Partners, a nonprofit health maintenance organization serving Pennsylvania.

“Gerry has been an integral part of our leadership team responsible for financial oversight of a variety of business programs, including the opening of Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, the expansion of our ambulatory growth strategy, the transformation of our network of primary and specialty care practices and other joint ventures such as the Einstein Montgomery alliance with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia,” said Barry R. Freedman, president and CEO of Einstein Healthcare Network.
