Dr. Robert Jaquiss to serve as heart center co-director at Children’s Medical Center Dallas: 3 notes

Dallas-based Children’s Health hired Robert Jaquiss, MD, as its new division director of pediatric and congenital cardiothoracic surgery and co-director of the heart center at Children’s Medical Center Dallas.

Here are three notes:

1. Dr. Jaquiss is the professor of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery as well as professor of pediatrics at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He also serves as director of pediatric cardiothoracic surgery at the medical center. UT Southwestern faculty members provide services and perform procedures at Children’s Health.

2. Previously, he served as a professor of surgery and pediatrics at Duke University School of Medicine and chief of heart surgery at Duke Children’s Hospital, both based in Durham, N.C.

3. He completed his postgraduate training in surgery, cardiothoracic surgery and pediatric cardiac surgery at Washington University School in St. Louis and St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
