Door County Medical Center CEO plans retirement: 3 notes

Gerald Worrick, president and CEO of Sturgeon Bay, Wis.-based Door County Medical Center plans to retire Jan. 5, according to a Green Bay Press Gazette report.

Here are three notes:

1. As CEO, Mr. Worrick oversaw the establishment of a cancer center at the hospital.

2. Brian Stephens, the hospital’s chief administrative officer, will take over as CEO.

3. Door County Medical Center is a critical access hospital with 175-plus physicians on its staff.
