12 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Pittsburgh Mercy Health System named Antonio Beltran president and CEO, effective Jan. 7, 2019.

2. Chantilly, Va.-based Inova Fair Oaks Hospital has selected Donald Brideau, MD, to be CEO, effective Dec. 17.

3. Wyatt Decker, MD, vice president and CEO of the Mayo Clinic's campus in Phoenix, will retire from his role early next year.

4. The CEO of Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla., and two other hospital executives have resigned.

5. Denver-based UCHealth named Christopher A. Gessner president and CEO of University of Colorado Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, effective February 2019.

6. Richard Gilfillan, MD, CEO of Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health, will depart from the system in June.

7. Highland-Clarksburg (W. Va.) Hospital's board unanimously elected Victoria Jones to be the hospital's president and CEO.

8. Newark, N.J.-based University Hospital CEO John N. Kastanis resigned, effective Dec. 14.

9. Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health & Services appointed Don Lemmon chief executive of its North Coast Service Area, which includes oversight over Providence Seaside (Ore.) Hospital.

10. Mineral Community Hospital in Superior, Mont., named Steve McNeece its permanent CEO, extending his contract by two years.

11. The Villages (Fla.) Health appointed Bob Trinh CEO.

12. Tenet Healthcare's Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) Medical Center has named Teresa C. Urquhart CEO, the third person to hold the position within the last 18 months.
