Here are four things to know:
1. Mr. Betz most recently served as senior vice president and COO at Maury Regional Health in Columbia, Tenn.
2. Previously, he was Memphis, Tenn.-based Baptist Memorial Healthcare’s administrator of process improvement for the Memphis market.
3. He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and received the ACHE Regents Award.
4. In his new role, Mr. Betz will serve as administrator of Tuscaloosa-based DCH Regional Medical Center. The administrators at Fayette (Ala.) Medical Center and Northport (Ala.) Medical Center will report to him.
