Mr. Spivey takes over as interim leader of the Columbus-based hospital after the September death of Michael Wilkins. He is currently president and CEO of St. Mary Mercy Livonia, a 304-bed acute care hospital. He will continue in that role in addition to taking on interim president duties at Mount Carmel East.
He has worked within Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health, the hospital’s parent, for more than 30 years, serving in several leadership roles.
Mr. Spivey serves on the Greater Detroit Area Health Council’s board and is a member of the Healthy Livonia Steering Committee.
