David Smith promoted to CFO for Memorial Healthcare System

Hollywood, Fla.-based Memorial Healthcare System has announced the promotion of David Smith, former CFO of Memorial Regional Hospital, to senior vice president and CFO of Memorial Healthcare System.

As the system’s CFO, Mr. Smith will be responsible for an annual operating budget of $1.6 billion and finances for Memorial’s five hospitals, nursing home and home health agency, as well as South Broward Community Health Services, Memorial’s network of area clinics and programs.

Mr. Smith has served as CFO of Memorial Regional Hospital, also in Hollywood, Fla., since 1998. Before that, he served as CFO for Kendall Medical Center in Miami and as administrator of financial services for Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach.
