Craig B. Thompson, MD. President and CEO of Memorial Sloan Kettering (New York City). Dr. Thompson was named president and CEO of Memorial Sloan Kettering in November 2010 after spending 11 years at University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Thompson has experience as director of the Madlyn Abramson Family Cancer Research Institute and associate vice president for cancer services at University of Pennsylvania Health System. An oncologist by training, Dr. Thompson is a board member of the American Association for Cancer Research and sits on the Howard Hughes Medical Institute medical advisory board. Throughout his career, Dr. Thompson has focused on healthcare innovation, founding three biotechnology companies and publishing more than 350 peer-reviewed manuscripts.
