Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education gets new CEO: 5 things to know

Healthcare executive search firm CES Partners has appointed Anthony Stanowski, DHA, president and CEO of the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education.

Here are five things to know about Dr. Stanowski.

1. He began his new job June 20.

2. Prior to joining CAHME, Dr. Stanowski was vice president of Collingswood, N.J.-based Applied Medical Software, where he was responsible for its growth and sustainability, according to a news release.

3. He also previously served as vice president of healthcare industry relations of Philadelphia-based Aramark Corp. There, he led Aramark's research and education partnerships with providers, industry associations and academic institutions, officials said. He also established and directed the international administrative fellowship program in partnership with the American Hospital Association's institute for diversity.

4. Dr. Stanowski serves on the board of Bon Secours Baltimore Health System and on the American Hospital Association's committee on governance.

5. Dr. Stanowski received a doctoral degree in healthcare administration from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, a master's degree in marketing from Drexel University in Philadelphia and a master's degree in business administration (healthcare management) from Widener University in Chester, Pa.
