Mr. Means has served as CEO of the system since it was formed in 1995. Before that, he served as Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Fla., and Palm Bay (Fla.) Hospital, both now affiliates of four-hospital Health First.
The hospital board is soon expected to begin a search for Mr. Mean’s successor, according to the report.
