Cancer Treatment Centers of America Atlanta welcomes Jonathan Watkins as regional president

Cancer Treatment Centers of America Atlanta has named Jonathan Watkins regional president of CTCA Hospitals and Clinics.

Mr. Watkins brings an array of leadership experience to the role. He previously was CEO of Broward Health Imperial Point, a 204-bed hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and COO of Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente in California's Central Valley area.

He also served as vice president of clinical operations/COO of Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Mr. Watkins, a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, was recognized this year by the college's South Florida chapter with an ACHE Service Award.

He succeeds David Kent, who has moved to a national role as senior vice president of business development for Cancer Treatment Centers of America.

Most recently, Mr. Kent was president and CEO of the Atlanta hospital. He also served as COO and senior vice president of operations there. Before that, he was vice president of oncology patient services at Cancer Treatment Centers of America Chicago.
