Boston Medical Center CEO Announces Retirement

Elaine Ullian, CEO of Boston Medical Center, will retire in January, according to a report by the Boston Globe.

BMC expects to lose $175 million during the upcoming fiscal year. The expected losses are partially attributed to significant cuts in state reimbursements for care of the poor.

Ms. Ullian’s departure is not linked to the hospital’s financial troubles, according to the report.
