Bon Secours Mercy Health taps chief managed care officer

Cincinnati-based Bon Secours Mercy Health has named Jeff Bross chief managed care officer. 

In the role, Mr. Bross will set the strategic direction of payer relationships and contractual partnerships, “shaping where, how and with whom the ministry contracts, in support of long-term financial strength and mission-driven care,” Bon Secours said in a July 14 news release shared with Becker’s

He joins the health system from Hollywood, Fla.-based Memorial Healthcare System where he spent seven years as senior vice president of managed care.      

“At a time when there is increasing scrutiny on the relationship between health systems and insurers, we have a real opportunity to reimagine payer partnerships in a way that prioritizes access, transparency and financial sustainability,” Mr. Bross said in the release. “I look forward to working alongside our leaders and partners to create innovative, values-driven solutions that support both the ministry’s long-term strength and the needs of those we serve.”
