BayCare promotes 3 leaders under new CEO

Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare Health System, which recently appointed Stephanie Conners, BSN, RN, as president and CEO, has promoted three senior executives to expanded roles within the nonprofit organization.

Two operations leaders, Lou Galdieri and Kimberly Guy, have been named co-COOs for the system.

Mr. Galdieri, former president of Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, most recently served as vice president and market leader for Pinellas County, West Pasco and Winter Haven. Ms. Guy, former president of St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, was previously senior vice president and market leader for Hillsborough, East Pasco and Bartow. The two will work collaboratively to lead the operations, strategic planning and clinical integration of BayCare's hospitals, ASCs and behavioral health services.

Keri Eisenbeis, who was vice president for government and community Relations, has been promoted to senior vice president of corporate relations and also serves as chief of staff for Ms. Conners. In her new role, she provides strategic support for the new CEO and leads BayCare's external affairs with a focus on government relations, strategic communications, community benefit and partnerships.

"As I visited more than 50 BayCare facilities in my first 45 days, I experienced first-hand the impact our extraordinary team has on all we serve," Ms. Conners said in a Dec. 9 news release. "My goal in promoting these established leaders is to elevate their influence as we work together to make BayCare the best place to receive care, the best place to provide care and the best place to work."

BayCare was founded in 1997 and is West Central Florida's largest nonprofit healthcare provider. The health system plans to open its 16th hospital in 2023 and its 17th hospital in 2025.
