Bath Community Hospital appoints Kathy Landreth CEO: 5 things to know

Bath Community Hospital in Hot Springs, Va., has named Kathy Landreth president and CEO, according to The Recorder.

Here are five things to know about Ms. Landreth.

1. Ms. Landreth has 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry and has served as acting CEO for the past six months.

2. Ms. Landreth came to BCH from Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg, Va., where she served as senior director and regional hospital operations/COO.

3. Ms. Landreth joined BCH in 2014 as CNO before taking over the role of acting CEO in December 2014.

4. Ms. Landreth began her career in healthcare as a registered nurse.

5. “We didn’t have to look far to find the right person to lead the hospital,” BCH board chairman Peter Faraone said in a statement, according to the report. “We were fortunate to have Kathy already on staff when the former CEO left, and in six short months, Kathy has demonstrated a keen understanding of hospital administration and, specifically, the challenges that we face as a small rural hospital. She has developed great working relationships with the staff at all levels and I think everyone is excited that she’s going to be here for years to come.”
