Barnes-Jewish Hospital names president

Robert Cannon will assume his role as president of Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis on Dec. 1, according to a St. Louis Post-Dispatch report.

Mr. Cannon has been with the hospital’s parent, BJC HealthCare, since 2001 and currently serves as group president for the system. He will succeed Richard Liekweg, who was named executive vice president of BJC HealthCare with a focus on operational and clinical integration.

Mr. Cannon will also oversee Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital in Creve Coeur, Mo., in his new role.
