Prior to his current role, Mr. Hanson served as executive vice president and operations leader for the Dallas-Fort Worth Region at Arlington-based Texas Health Resources.
Vice President and Chief Legal and Regulatory Affairs Officer Janet Norton and CFO Steve Oglesby will lead the health system together, on an interim basis. Ms. Norton has been with Baptist for 29 years, while Mr. Oglesby has worked with the organization for 24 years.
The board will immediately begin the search for a permanent successor.
When asked for a comment regarding the reason for Mr. Hanson’s departure, a health system spokesperson sent the following emailed response:
“As a matter of practice, Baptist Health does not comment on employee departures. The board extends its appreciation for Steve Hanson’s contributions to Baptist Health over the past four years as we have navigated these very challenging times.”
