Hot Springs, Ark.-based National Park Medical Center appointed Nichole Reed, MSN, RN, chief nursing officer.
Ms. Reed was appointed associate CNO a little over a year ago and takes over the role from Lisa Wallace, DNP, who became CNO at St. Francis Hospital-Memphis in June.
In her role, Ms. Reed will oversee quality care, staffing and resource management, patient advocacy, quality improvement, education and training of nursing staff, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, according to an Oct. 16 hospital news release. She plans to implement a nursing shared governance structure, nursing peer group committees and graduate mentor programs.
