Alaska’s Mt. Edgecombe Hospital Administrator Dr. Marty Grasmeder to Leave

Mt. Edgecombe Hospital in Sitka, Alaska, announced that Marty Grasmeder, MD, its administrator and medical director is leaving, according to a KCAW report.

Mt. Edgecombe Hospital is a part of Juneau, Alaska-based Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium, which is a nonprofit healthcare organization run by 18 native communities in Southeast Alaska.

Dr. Grasmeder, a pediatrician, is leaving to take up the post of medical director at the Multnomah County Health Department in Portland, Ore.

Noel Selle-Rea, the former CEO of Wrangell (Alaska) Medical Center, has been named the interim administrator of the hospital, according to a KSTK News report.
