For the past year, Mr. Heim has served as vice president of operations and ambulatory services for Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Ill. Prior to that, he served as vice president of business development and administrative services for Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, Ill., for eight years. Mr. Heim began his career in healthcare in 1977 as an environmental services employee at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa.
