Mr. Birmele brings more than 18 years of healthcare experience to the role, most of it at AdventHealth, according to a news release.
Most recently, he was vice president and COO of AdventHealth Winter Park, where his responsibilities included overseeing hospital renovation and construction projects.
“It is an exciting time for AdventHealth Winter Park, and I am confident Justin’s clinical and operational experience and collaborative leadership style will take this healthcare campus to new heights and provide whole-person health to even more people in this community,” AdventHealth President and CEO Terry Shaw said in the news release.
Mr. Birmele replaces Jennifer Wandersleben, who took a new position as president and CEO of acute care services for AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division–South Region.
