6 recent HCA executive changes

Nathan Vooys was named CEO of Reston (Va.) Hospital Center, part of HCA Healthcare.

Mr. Vooys will assume his new role March 4. He has spent the last three years as CEO of StoneSprings Hospital Center in Dulles, Va., also part of HCA.

Becker’s also reported other executive appointments at HCA hospitals since Feb. 1:

  • Anthony Spensieri, MD, chief medical officer of Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C., gave notice of his departure, effective March 1.  
  • John McDonald was appointed CEO of Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Mo.
  • Musaddiq Waheed, MD, was named chief medical officer of Pasadena, Texas-based HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast.
  • Drew Tyrer was named CEO of HCA Florida Westside Hospital in Plantation.
  • Chad Wasserman was named senior vice president and CIO of HCA Healthcare.

HCA is based in Nashville, Tenn.
