20 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Edinburg-based South Texas Health System appointed Lance Ames permanent CEO of South Texas Health System Edinburg and South Texas Health System Children's in Edinburg.

2. Bentonville, Ark.-based Northwest Health appointed Steve Badger CEO of Northwest Medical Center-Bentonville, effective Sept. 27.

3. UCF Lake Nona Medical Center in Orlando, Fla., will welcome Wendy Brandon as CEO in January 2019.

4. Rochester, N.H.-based Frisbie Memorial Hospital appointed Jocelyn Caple, MD, its permanent president and CEO.

5. Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, Ind., selected Jae Dale to serve as CEO, effective Oct. 15.

6. Burlington, Mass.-based Wellforce CEO Norm Deschene is retiring at the end of 2018.

7. Shreveport, La.-based Allegiance Health Management selected Kevin Frank to serve as CEO of Acadian Medical Center in Eunice, La.

8. Opelika-based East Alabama Medical Center hired Laura Grill, RN, as its first female president and CEO.

9. Brian Grissler, president and CEO Stamford (Conn.) Hospital, retired Sept. 30.

10. Olathe (Kan.) Health System selected Stan Holm to serve as president and CEO, effective Nov. 1.

11. Florida Hospital New Smyrna CEO Ken Mattison plans to retire, effective Dec. 23. The hospital is based in New Smyrna Beach, Fla.

12. Jersey City (N.J.) Medical Center named Michael Prilutsky president and CEO.

13. Rich Robinson, CEO of Astria Regional Medical Center in Yakima, Wash., is retiring at the end of October.

14. Hibbing Minn.-based Fairview Range appointed Patrick Sharp permanent president and CEO.

15. Kathleen Silard, BSN, RN, became president and CEO of Stamford (Conn.) Hospital.

16. Sacramento, Calif.-based UC Davis Health named Brad Simmons interim CEO of UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.

17. Lynchburg, Va.-based Centra Health CEO E.W. Tibbs Jr., resigned, ending his five-year tenure.

18. JoDee Tittle, CEO of Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center in Bandon, Ore., is resigning, effective Nov. 16.

19. Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health selected James L. Woodward to serve as president and CEO of its newly formed five-hospital system called Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic.

20. Woodville, Texas-based Tyler County Hospital CEO Sandra Wright, RN, EdD, is retired.
