Edinburg-based South Texas Health System appointed Lance Ames permanent CEO of South Texas Health System Edinburg and South Texas Health System Children’s in Edinburg, according to a Valley Morning Star report.

1. Mr. Ames was previously interim CEO of the Edinburg facilities.

2. He has also served as associate administrator for ambulatory services at South Texas Health System.

3. He earned a master of health administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
