UCF Lake Nona Medical Center appoints CEO: 4 things to know

UCF Lake Nona Medical Center in Orlando, Fla., will welcome Wendy Brandon as CEO in January 2019, according to an Orlando Sentinel report.

Here are four things to know:

1. UCF Lake Nona Medical Center is a partnership between University of Central Florida in Orlando and HCA North Florida Division in Tallahassee.

2. The facility groundbreaking is expected to take place in October and it is slated to open by the end of 2020.

3. Lake Nona Medical Center will serve as a teaching hospital for Orlando-based UCF College of Medicine.

4. Ms. Brandon is the current CEO of Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford, an HCA North Florida facility.
