The following hospital executive moves occurred within the past week, beginning with the most recent.

1. Longview, Texas-based Good Shepherd Health System announced the appointment of Steve Altmiller as president and CEO.

2. Sierra Providence East Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, announced the appointment of Lauren Morton as COO.

3. Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals System in Philadelphia announced that Stephen K. Klasko, MD, has been named president and CEO of the system and president of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.

4. Russell (Kan.) Regional Hospital, a critical access hospital, named Harold Courtois CEO.

5. Columbia Basin Hospital in Ephrata, Wash., launched a search for a new CEO to replace Robert Reeder, who resigned in December 2012.

6. San Joaquin Community Hospital in Bakersfield, Calif., part of Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health, named Doug Duffield as president and CEO.

7. Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System announced that it appointed Theresa Rutherford, RN, president and CEO of its St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Ill.

8. Ashley Regional Medical Center in Vernal, Utah, part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Hospitals, announced that Ben Cluff has been appointed its new CEO, effective July 15.

9. Framingham, Mass.-based MetroWest Medical Center CEO Andrei Soran announced that he is leaving his post to take on a new role at Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanguard Health Systems.

10. Glens Falls (N.Y.) Hospital appointed acting CEO Dianne Shugrue as permanent president and CEO.

11. St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis announced that its board of directors has named Michael E. Rindler CEO.

12. The American Medical Association announced that Ardis Dee Hoven, MD, will serve as the 168th president of the association.

13. Baptist Medical Center East in Montgomery, Ala., announced the appointment of Jeff Rains as CEO, effective July 15.

14. John Sheehan, COO of UnityPoint Health-St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was appointed CEO of UW Health at the American Center in Madison, Wis.

15. Rancho Springs Medical Center in Murrieta, Calif., appointed Brad Neet CEO.

16. St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center in Pueblo, Colo., hired Brian Moore as CEO.

17. Ketchikan (Alaska) Medical Center announced the August resignation of CEO Patrick Branco.
