The following hospital executive moves occurred within the past week, beginning with the most recent.

1. Dignity Health in San Francisco, formerly Catholic Healthcare West, announced major leadership changes for three of its Arizona hospitals. Linda Hunt’s sole focus will be her role as president and COO of Dignity Health Arizona; Patty White was named president and CEO of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix; and Tim Bricker will serve as president and CEO of Chandler (Ariz.) Regional Medical Center while continuing as president and CEO of Mercy Gilbert (Ariz.) Medical Center.

2. Luke McGuinness, CEO of Cadence Health, which includes Central Dupage Hospital in Winfield, Ill., and Delnor Hospital in Geneva, Ill., announced set his retirement for the end of 2012.

3. Froedtert Health in Milwaukee announced longtime CEO William Petasnick’s decision to resign.

4. Sanford Health based in Sioux Falls, S.D., named Michael Hammer CEO of its Sanford Worthington (Minn.) Medical Center and Sanford Worthington Clinic.

5. Sharp HealthCare promoted Trisha Khaleghi as senior vice president and CEO of Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns in San Diego.

6. Georgia Health Sciences Medical Center in Augusta, Ga., named Steven Scott as COO.

7. Joe Mark, president and CEO of Redwood Memorial Hospital in Fortuna, Calif., and St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka, Calif., both part of St. Joseph Health System in Orange, Calif., announced his resignation.

8. Girard Medical Center in Philadelphia named Michael Payne as CEO.

9. Health First in Rockledge, Fla., announced Joseph Felkner as senior vice president and CFO.

10. Seattle (Wash.) Children’s Hospital announced Lisa Brandenburg as president.

11. South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside, N.Y., announced that Mark Bogen will be the hospital’s senior vice president of finance and CFO.

12. Daughters of Charity Health System in Los Altos Hills, Calif., and Seton Medical Center in Daly City, Calif., announced James Schuessler as interim president and CEO.

13. Marshalltown (Iowa) Medical & Surgical Center named John Hughes as COO.

14. Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, Idaho, announced Rachel Gonzales as CEO.
