12 latest hospital, health system executive resignations

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following latest hospital and health system executive resignations.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Michael J. Dacey Jr., MD, president and COO of Kent Hospital in Warwick, R.I., resigned for a new job opportunity.

2. Edmund F. Funai, MD, COO of Tampa-based USF Health and senior vice president for strategic development of USF System, resigned in December 2017.

3. Barry Gross, MD, Newport News, Va.-based Riverside Health System's executive vice president and CMO, will leave his roles in 2018.

4. Medina, N.Y.-based Orleans Community Health CEO/President Wendy Jacobson resigned.

5. C. Todd Jones, president of Baptist Health Richmond (Ky.), is resigning, effective Jan. 26.

6. Cheverly, Md.-based University of Maryland Capital Region Health President and CEO Neil J. Moore is stepping down, effective in June.

7. Peter Pronovost, MD, PhD, one of the nation's leading patient safety experts, will leave his posts at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore to take a position with UnitedHealthcare in February.

8. Greenfield, Mass.-based Baystate Franklin Medical Center President Cindy Russo is resigning, effective Jan. 12.

9. Kearney (Neb.) Regional Medical Center CEO Larry Speicher is stepping down from his role to serve as CEO of Grand Island (Neb.) Regional Hospital in January.

10. Britt, Iowa-based Hancock County Health System CEO/Administrator Jeff Stampohar is resigning, effective Jan. 26.

11. Sandusky, Ohio-based Firelands Regional Health System President and CEO Martin Tursky resigned, effective Dec. 31.

12. Shea Ward, COO of Casper-based Wyoming Behavioral Institute, resigned from his role.
