Firelands Regional Health System CEO to resign: 5 things to know

Sandusky, Ohio-based Firelands Regional Health System President and CEO Martin Tursky is resigning, effective Dec. 31.

Here are five things to know:

1. Mr. Tursky is departing to “pursue new healthcare opportunities,” according to a health system statement.

2. He has served at the helm of the organization since June 2012.

3. During his tenure, Mr. Tursky oversaw the establishment of an urgent care clinic in conjunction with The Bellevue (Ohio) Hospital, located in Clyde, Ohio.

4. He also oversaw Firelands’ EHR upgrade to Meditech 6.1.

5. Daniel Moncher, executive vice president and CFO; Robert Moore, vice president of legal services; and Beverly Schrickel, vice president and chief nursing officer will take over the responsibilities of president and CEO, while the board searches for a successor.
