Mr. Jones is leaving to take on the vice president of ambulatory experience and operations role at BayCare Health System in Clearwater, Fla. He has worked at Louisville, Ky.-based Baptist Health since 1996, spending the last seven years as president at Baptist Health Richmond.
During his tenure, the hospital completed a $20 million renovation that included expanding the emergency department. Mr. Jones has also been instrumental in developing new service lines, including a cardiac intervention program and outpatient physical therapy.
The hospital’s board of directors will immediately begin searching for Mr. Jones’ successor.
