11 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

The following hospital and health system CEO moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Madison, Wis.-based UW Health named Alan Kaplan, MD, CEO.

2. Kevin Vermeer officially started his new role as CEO of West Des Moines, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health. His first day as CEO was Jan. 1.

3. Rex Conger, president and CEO of Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton, Ill., will retire, effective Jan. 15, 2017.

4. Farmington, Maine-based Franklin Community Health Network named Timothy Churchill interim CEO. He will begin his new role March 1.

5. David Tilton, president and CEO of Atlantic City, N.J.-based AtlantiCare, will retire from this post June 30. Mr. Tilton will be succeeded by Lori Herndon, BSN, RN, AtlantiCare's executive vice president and Atlantic City-based AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's president and CEO.

6. Robert Lenza was named CEO of San Antonio-based Methodist Children's Hospital. He will lead the hospital and women's services.

7. Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System hired Dan Styf as senior vice president and CEO of its health plan business.

8. Susan Ehrlich, MD, was named CEO of the Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center.

9. Karen Faulis, BSN, RN, was named CEO of Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree, Calif., effective Feb. 22.

10. Lamar McBride was promoted to CEO of Northern Colorado Long Term Acute Hospital in Johnstown.

11. Venice (Fla.) Regional Bayfront Health named John McLain CEO.
