ZocDoc currently covers 200 cities and has plans to expand countrywide by the end of 2014, according to the report. About five million people have used ZocDoc to schedule an appointment with a physician, who all pay monthly fees to have their practice listed on the site.

The company is privately held and has reportedly turned down several potential buyers since its 2007 launch, including Aetna in 2013.
